Due to poor weather and a long family holiday this was our first outing in nearly 6 weeks! It was good to be out again, and we picked this Munro to get some miles in.
We parked up at the Allt Mor car park and followed the easy trail around to the lovely Lochan Uaine; super clear water and looks a great place to dip your tired feet.
Soon after Lochan Uaine we took the track to the right which after the river crossing, gently ascends up to the plateau leading to Bynack More.
At the base of Bynack More we decided to contour round to the west and ascend the saddle between Bynack More and top Bynack Beg. Shortly before this Ailidh twisted her knee and was finding it tough going, so at the saddle she rested while I quickly popped up and ticked off the top, Bynack Beg.
We had a quick lunch before slowly heading up to the top of Bynack Beg, Ailidh perhaps pushing herself a little too much due to her protesting knee.
It was a bit breezy and chilly at the top so we didn't hang around and we made our way slowly down the heavily eroded path to the plateau.
From here we set a reasonably brisk pace back along the trail to our start point and nearly made it back to the car before the heavens opened.
We met a few people around the summit, but there were lots around Lochan Uaine on our return, I assume this is a popular afternoon stroll for locals. Overall a good leg warmer and great views.
