Stayed the night at Aberfeldy campsite then headed up to Lawers hotel where we gave a lift to a couple of fellow walkers from Aberdeen to the start of their walk at the Ben Lawers car park. Unfortunately, our car park was full, so had to park at the end of the reservoir and walk up to the start of the trail.
There were some quite boggy areas on the lower sections of the tail, but not as bad as expected, however the climb up to the first Munro, Meall Corranaich was tough due to the hot and still conditions. When we reached the summit we bumped into the walkers we gave a lift to as they had taken a wrong turn, but had bagged a bonus Munro.
We lost the sun for a time on the walk over to the second Munro, which was a welcome relief. During this time we saw quite a few paragliders coming off the top of Beinn Ghlas, and later on a rescue helicopter which we later found out was due to a paraglider being injured.
At the bottom of Meall a'Choire Lèith we met a couple doing the route in the opposite direction asking us to keep an eye out for some lost glasses, which we found on the top of the cairn of Meall a'Choire Lèith, presumably somebody else had come across them.
The descent from Meall a'Choire Lèith is quite steep, requiring due care and attention, once down it was back to the boggy ground which didn't let up to almost the end of the route.
On our way back, Ailidh counted around 40 paragliders in the air at once, quite a sight to behold.
