Left the house at 6am, but didn't arrive to the start until nearly 9:30am, very busy Munro, we got the last car parking space and by the time we finished, cars were lining the sides of the single track road!
Quite an easy walk up the hard packed track, once off, the going is much easier on the feet although steep in places. Does requires a little care on the return due to loose dry gravel in places.
Once on the wide ridge it was a pleasant walk over to the eastern top where we had lunch just below the cairn overlooking Loch Turret.
Lovely sunny day, but breezy at the top. Definitely need to remember to reapply sun cream more !!! Good views towards to the Lawers range and Schiehallion, Ailidhs first Munro.
Nice to have my walking partner back! Although we both weren't 100% today, this was a nice short outing to help prepare for a larger walk next weekend.
