Parked at the Glen Doll Ranger station and then followed the forest route for Corrie Fee.
The Corrie fee corrie takes you a little by surprise as you climb up to it and if suddenly appears. Was quite windy today so didn't spot any birds of prey.
A steepish, and at times windy climb up towards the waterfall and onto the plateau above. The final climb up to the summit of Mayar was quite gentle in comparison.
We stopped just below the summit for an early lunch, before making the easy trek across the plateau to the bottom of Driesh and the top of the path that leads back to Glen Doll.
From here there is a short steep climb up to little Driesh, before a gentler climb to the summit of Driesh itself, which consists of a sheltered cairn and trig point.
We returned to below little Driesh and followed the path down to Glen Doll, some of which became quite slippery due to a couple of drizzle showers. At this side of the forest there muddier sections and several downed trees crossing the path.
Back at the car park the ranger station was now open and we had a fine chat with the ranger before heading home, arriving well before dark, a welcome change compare to most of our recent walks.
