We parked at Glenshee and walked along the road for a mile to the starting point of the walk.

After some easy climbing, the final ascent to Carn an Turic was slow going due to snow, ice and driving hail, but once at the top was a pleasant snowy walk over the plateau to the end of the old county boundary wall.

The summit of Cairn of Claise was pretty uninspiring, just a cairn beside the boundary wall, but gave plenty of shelter from the elements for our lunch.

After a longish walk and gentle climb we reached the Glas Maol trig point next to an old collapsed shelter which was filled with wind driven snow.

The walk over to the last munro of the day was easy enough, but the last small climb was pretty rocky. We didn't hang about due to the wind, Ailidh decided we would take in the SE Munro Top as well, which perhaps today was one too many for us.

Returning to the base of Glas Maol we contoured around the munro passing below some over hanging snow that looked primed for a small avalanche, but small and far enough away not to be a danger.

Once we ascended the last top of the day, Meall Odhar, we mostly used the ski runs to return to the car, except for a nice path that skirted the last small hill, helping our poor spent knees.

Plenty of wildlife on display today, Ptarmigan, Red Grouse and even some Mountain Hairs, however didn't manage to get pictures of them all.
