Out first western trip, we stayed at the Calledonian Hotel in Ullapool the night before and had a great cooked breakfast to start off our walk.
This was a big hike, 20+ miles, but we had great weather even though it was cold, and only saw 3 other people in the far distance! The first summit Beinn Liath Mhòr Fannaich, via Creag Dhubh Fannaich had many false summits, but the views were epic
We both really enjoyed this walk, the only downside was just how boggy it was which really slowed us down. We ended up completing the walk by headtorch!!!
Our team manager Kathleen got really concerned about how long we took and nearly called out the Mountain Rescue. It didn't help that while below the summits there was no mobile signal, maybe time to invest in some satellite communication.
