Our second attempt at this route, we decided to leave the bikes this time and we walked the whole way.
It was a longish trek, but weather was on our side, however cold at times.
We came across many remains of an RAF Canberra jet which crashed into the mountain in 1956. The wing has a tag which mentions Fraserburgh, unfortunately we forgot to take a picture 😞
Fantastic views of the North and West Cairngorms, as well as Lochnagar itself from the Stuic.
